RRP Defense Bags Big Win with ₹29.83 Crore BEL Optics Order

RRP Defense has received a purchase order from Bharat Electronics (BEL), Machilipatnam Unit, for the supply of optical lens components.

The order, valued at Rs 29.83 crore excluding applicable GST, includes the supply of GE SF Lens 1 (Ø50x6.0) and GE SF Lens 2 (Ø26x4.5). Under the execution schedule, RRP Defense will initially deliver sample quantities before commencing full-scale production and commercial supplies.

Bulk deliveries are expected to begin within eight to ten weeks from the receipt of the purchase order, followed by phased monthly deliveries continuing through December 2026. The contract involves precision optical components used in defence and electronic systems, highlighting BEL’s continued focus on sourcing high-precision indigenous equipment.

The order strengthens RRP Defense’s presence in the defence optics segment and further reinforces its relationship with BEL, supporting India’s broader defence indigenisation and domestic manufacturing initiatives.
